Asus' all new Eee tablet devices

As you can see above, Asus are launching not just one, but four all new Eee form factors - and you can bet each one will have a variety of options and price points to suit your specific needs.

Head over the link below to see the full spec of these new products. I'll tell you now, it's pretty impressive stuff!

The Eee Slate will fulfil that iPad urge, only much higher specc'ed and running a full desktop OS - Windows 7. A 12.1" 1280x800 display should satisfy your video needs, and the i5-470UM should be more than enough to power it. Coupled with the 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD, this is one pretty serious tablet PC.

The Eee Pad Transformer, could perhaps be seen as a more direct iPad competitor - and an even more appealing one at that! A smaller 10.1" display but keeping the same 1280x800 resolution will ensure higher pixel density. All these displays are IPS. It's packing nVidia's Tegra 2 dual core processor, which is claimed to be twice as powerful as the iPad's A4 CPU. It's also thinner than the iPad, at just 0.51" thick. However, it differs from the iPad.. just slightly, in that it includes a keyboard, "dock", shall we say. For tapping out some serious words, you can use that slick keyboard, or remove it to just have a sweet tablet when on the go. Keyboard dock is slated (geddit?) to keep the device going for up to 16 hours, while the tablet on it's own can last 8; that's pretty neat.

The Eee Pad Slider is similar in form factor to the Transformer (above), however it doesn't detach itself from the keyboard. As you may guess from the name, it slides up underneath itself. It weighs under 2lb, and is "less than 0.66in thick". - including the keyboard. It packs the same Tegra 2 chip and 10.1" IPS display as the Transformer, also has a 1.2MP front facing camera, and a 5MP rear with auto focus. It features 802.11n wireless capability, HDMI output, USB and a card reader - it's unclear if that's just an SD slot like every other Android device ever (it's currently still in the spec) or combi 13-in-one type package.

The Eee MeMo features a 7" IPS display, includes a capacitive stylus. It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon CPU, capable of 1080p playback. It also has cameras front and back.

All bar the Slate, run Android 3.0 "Honeycomb".

Slate comes this month, Transformer in April, Slider in May, and MeMo in June.

One things for sure, I'm seriously tempted to ditch my netbook and plans to get an iPad - in favour of a Transformer/possibly Slider.

I for one can't wait to see them in the flesh.
