Apple Mac Mini gets a refresh

News just in: Mac Mini updates from Apple.

And I was not correct, although the upgrades are available it is not the same spec as the Macbook Pro, but does include a 2.4Ghz core 2 duo processor, 2gb Ram and a 320gb hard drive for the basic model...

Also it now sports a HDMI out and is living up to its name, coming in at 1.4inches tall. And it is a beautiful machine. It still fits in a disc drive as you'd expect and now has a huge 8gb of RAM potential. And to make it even closer to being a desktop version of the Macbook pro it is all enclosed in an amazing, aluminium uni-body case [Fordy:]Bar a slot on the bottom for user-upgradeable RAM. Up to 2x 500GB drives total[/Fordy].

Although this does come at a cost.. the basic model starts at £649 and the more expensive version running snow leopard server and coming in at £929. Frankly, I think i'd buy the basic model if I was looking for a new desktop and it is now a powerful and still cheap machine. Apple have done well on this one.....
