Apples Keynotes

Its a well Known fact that Apple refresh the iPod range every September, like fine, aluminium, overpriced Swiss watches might. And this September was a good'n. To the point, this year, Apple went crazy... radically redesigned Nano, Cross bread Shuffle and the crown jewels..... the iPod touch was upgraded massively! Apple even made an attempt at 'social networking for music' with the new iTunes 10 and 'Ping'.

So for a kick off, the iPod Shuffle, Steve said it was a mix of the previous generations of shuffle, and he was right! Its a smaller, squarer 2nd gen with better features and has the clip too.. oh yeah and its £39.

Next up was the Nano, one of the more successful iPods, just became a keyring. But they've done well, they compacted all that tech behind a 1.9" multitouch screen and removed all the buttons, added the clip, and kept an array of colours.

Lastly for the iPods, the Touch, Steve gaves us the figures and informed us that the Touch is now the number one portable gaming device, and that it is the most successful iPod. And my suspicions were correct.... Retina display, front facing camera with face time, iOS4, rear facing camera and is shaped like the first gen, but thinner.

Then to round it off, Steve showed us the new iTunes.. iTunes 10.0!

Basically its got a new feature, Ping, which just a not so social, social network.
